EVENT OVERVIEW: Celebrate the ‘Year of the Sheep’ with some easy tonal studies based on the famous sheep sketches by British artist and sculptor Henry Moore.
Artist, designer, art educator, Kristine Ballard will teach your class the principles of tone and negative space through scribble drawing. Every child will learn about tonal scales and use this to produce a unique work of art while learning some cartooning skills along the way!
Henry Moore loved to draw sheep and with a few simple instructions, your students will too. Once they have mastered the scribble drawing techniques, let their imagination fly and see masterpieces appear. This is a fun filled workshop which you and your students will love.
Students will also learn about the sculpture practice of Henry Moore and the role of the humble sheep in creating some of the world’s most memorable sculptures.
